Adobe Connect at Contact North

Adobe Connect is a web conferencing system that allows individuals to meet online in a synchronous manner. The University of Ottawa's current access to Adobe Connect is limited. Accordingly, the university has made arrangements with Contact North to provide all faculty and students at the university with access to Adobe Connect.

Please also visit this page and take a few minutes to quickly learn about how to get started with using Adobe Connect.

For more informationcovering webinars on Adobe Connect please visit Adobe Connect Meeting Training Schedule web page. Recorded sessions are available in both English and French. Contact North will be adding a few short topic-specific webinars to the list of options, as well as a number of live Q&A sessions for faculty and instructors who have attended the webinars. It is not necessary to attend an  entire session but it is strongly recommended.

To get started, please fill in the form below so that Contact North can create course spaces.

You will be added as a host to each of the course spaces that are created for you and once this process is complete, you will receive an e-mail from Contact North that contains your login information, as well as notification of the spaces that you have been enrolled in. Through a custom Contact North portal, you will then be able to conveniently access all of your Adobe Connect course spaces in one place. Do not hesitate to consult the Contact North Adobe Connect FAQ.

Adobe Connect Course Space Request Form

You can request your Adobe Space for the Spring/Summer  and Fall session 2020. Furthermore, you can also get a free, limited Zoom account which can be used to offer individual support outside of the classroom for things like office hours, for TAs to provide one-on-one support to students, or to answer  questions after class, etc.

To facilitate the transfer of information to Contact North, please complete this form for each one of your courses and course time slots. For example, if you are instructing a course that is offered twice a week (e.g. Monday 8:30-10:00 a.m.; Wednesday 1:30-3:00 p.m.), you will need to complete this form twice (once for each time slot of the course). Thank you for your understanding.

Important note
Spring/Summer session : You must make your request AT LEAST 48 hours before the first class and only one request for the duration of the course in order for Contact North’s technical team to have time to create the spaces.  Requests with less than 48 hours’ notice will be completed on a best efforts basis.

Fall session: Your space will be created beginning of August. If you have the urgency to have access to it earlier, please contact us at .

Please be patient with us

We are creating sessions as quickly as we can, with a priority on those starting soonest.  We are currently working on Thursday and Friday sessions but expect to be caught up over the weekend.

If you do not see your session in the portal or listed on the Class Links site, and your class is scheduled for tomorrow morning on today, or if you are having technical difficulties accessing your classes, please e-mail  or call our IT Helpdesk at 1-888-850-4628.  If your class is for a later date and not yet in your My Sessions list, please don’t call the Helpdesk so that we can continue to support those who require technical assistance.

Thank you for your patience.
