What happens if a student does not consent to using Respondus?

Students can choose not to consent to using Respondus. In this case, instructors should have a Plan B in place. TLSS can provide faculty members with information on a variety of alternatives to manage exams and academic assessments. Contact us at saea-tlss@uOttawa.ca.

What happens if a student refuses to give access/permission to Respondus?

If the student does not agree to the terms of use at the start up sequence of Respondus or in the installation stage, the student will not be able to start the quiz from the LockDown Browser, nor the Brightspace LMS. Students can choose not to consent to using Respondus. In this case, Instructors will have alternative options in place. TLSS will provide faculty members with information on a variety of alternatives to managing exams and academic assessments.
